The Alberta interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews for standard undergraduate admission; select programs (e.g. fine arts, nursing via Casper) may require auditions, portfolios, or assessments.
How to prepare for Alberta
- Admission is primarily GPA-driven and program-specific , focus on achieving a strong academic average in the required prerequisite courses for your target program.
- Apply through the ApplyAlberta/UAlberta Launchpad portal (not the US Common App) and upload all documents promptly, as transcript deadlines are set per-program after you apply.
- If applying to a program with a Casper requirement (such as Nursing), register for that situational judgment test well in advance as seats fill up.
- Demonstrate interest through contacting the department or attending virtual open houses , the university does not track 'demonstrated interest' formally, but connecting with advisors can help you navigate program-specific requirements.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
