The Auburn interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Auburn University does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for Auburn
- Submit the optional personal statement even though it is not required , for applicants near the academic margins, it is the primary differentiator in the review process.
- Apply by December 1 (Early Action) to be considered for merit scholarships, since Auburn awards aid on a rolling basis and funds deplete over the cycle.
- Visit campus or attend a virtual information session to demonstrate genuine interest, as Auburn values students who show enthusiasm for the university community.
- Focus your Common App essay and optional personal statement on concrete experiences rather than abstract traits , admissions readers at large publics read quickly, so specificity stands out.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
