Babson / Interview
The Babson interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional interview, ~30-45 min, available on-campus or virtually; self-scheduled by the applicant through the Babson admissions portal
How to prepare for Babson
- Babson interviews are conducted by admissions staff (not alumni), so expect someone deeply familiar with the school's entrepreneurship focus , come ready to discuss a real project, business idea, or initiative you have led or started.
- Frame your interest in Babson around entrepreneurship specifically, not just business broadly; generic 'I want to study business' answers miss the mark at a school where every student takes the signature Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship course.
- Self-scheduling the interview signals demonstrated interest, which Babson tracks , book it once applications open rather than waiting until close to the deadline.
- Prepare a concise story about a problem you identified and how you tried to solve it; this maps directly to Babson's educational philosophy and is a common interview thread.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
