Baylor / Interview
The Baylor interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; Baylor does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for Baylor
- Use the optional supplemental essay (up to 450 words) to demonstrate genuine fit with Baylor's Christian mission and values , this is your primary opportunity to show the personal side that an interview would otherwise reveal.
- Visit campus or attend a virtual information session; Baylor tracks demonstrated interest and an official visit signals commitment, especially useful if you are applying Early Decision.
- Connect directly with your admissions counselor by email or at a college fair , a brief, thoughtful exchange can substitute some of the relationship-building an interview would provide.
- If you are applying Early Decision, treat it seriously: the binding commitment is itself a strong signal of fit, and Baylor's ED acceptance rate is meaningfully higher than the overall 51%.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
