Beloit / Interview
The Beloit interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional one-on-one meeting with an assigned admissions counselor, ~30 min, available via video chat, phone, or off-campus visits in your area
How to prepare for Beloit
- Each applicant is assigned a regional admissions counselor , reach out to yours directly to schedule; the connection is more personal than a generic interview pool.
- Use the meeting to show genuine curiosity about Beloit's distinctive curriculum (the Beloit Plan, interdisciplinary focus) rather than asking questions easily answered on the website.
- Because Beloit is holistic and essay-driven, treat the interview as a supplement to your written application , the short answers and Common App essay carry more weight than the conversation.
- If you cannot schedule a meeting, demonstrating interest through campus visits, info sessions, or engaging with your regional rep at college fairs is a reasonable substitute.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
