Binghamton / Interview
The Binghamton interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Binghamton University does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for Binghamton
- Focus on your Common App personal statement , it is the only essay component, so make it specific and revealing rather than generic.
- Visit campus or attend a virtual information session to demonstrate genuine interest; Binghamton tracks demonstrated interest and tour participation.
- Binghamton is test-optional, but if your scores fall in the 1360-1480 SAT / 31-34 ACT range or above, submitting them can strengthen your file.
- Apply Early Action by November 1 to maximize your chances , EA applicants receive decisions by mid-January and show clear interest in the school.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
