Cardiff / Interview
The Cardiff interview
Interview by invitation, and it carries significant weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Interview by invitation
By-invitation interviews for Medicine, Dentistry, and select Healthcare courses only; typically MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) format on campus; all other courses receive no interview.
How to prepare for Cardiff
- If applying to Medicine or Dentistry, prepare for MMI-style stations covering ethics, communication, and clinical scenarios rather than a traditional one-on-one interview.
- For non-clinical courses, there is no interview , focus your energy on a compelling UCAS personal statement answering all three questions clearly and specifically.
- Cardiff's Medicine deadline is 15 October via UCAS, months earlier than other courses , plan your preparation timeline accordingly.
- If you are not invited to interview for a clinical course, contact the admissions team to confirm your application status rather than assuming rejection.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
