Case Western / Interview
The Case Western interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional alumni interview, ~30-45 min, virtual or in your area; conducted by CWRU alumni volunteers
How to prepare for Case Western
- CWRU alumni interviewers are particularly interested in your intellectual curiosity and research interests , be ready to discuss why you're drawn to specific programs or faculty work at the university.
- The interview is largely informational and conversational, so treat it as a two-way exchange: prepare thoughtful questions about the alumni's experience at CWRU to show genuine interest.
- CWRU's SAGES (Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship) curriculum is distinctive , demonstrating awareness of and enthusiasm for this interdisciplinary model signals that you've done your homework.
- If you are not offered an interview or one is unavailable in your area, focus your demonstrated interest through campus visits, virtual info sessions, and the Common App personal statement, as the interview carries minor weight.
