Centre / Interview
The Centre interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional interview with an admission counselor, ~30 min, conducted virtually (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc.); available on a limited basis by sign-up
How to prepare for Centre
- Sign up early if you want an interview , spots are limited and offered on a rolling basis through the admission portal.
- Treat it as a genuine conversation about fit: Centre counselors want to hear why a small liberal arts community in Danville appeals to you specifically, not a rehearsed pitch.
- Use the interview to ask substantive questions about the Centre Commitment (internship/study-abroad guarantee) and how it applies to your interests , showing you know the school's signature programs signals real research.
- If you cannot secure an interview, demonstrate interest through a campus visit, a virtual info session, or a direct email to your regional admission counselor , demonstrated interest carries weight here.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
