Fairfield / Interview
The Fairfield interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional admissions office interview, ~30 min, available on-campus or virtual; open to rising seniors from summer onward through mid-February
How to prepare for Fairfield
- Sign up early , slots open the summer before senior year and fill up, especially for on-campus dates in fall.
- Treat it as a genuine conversation about fit: Fairfield is Jesuit, so being ready to discuss community, service, and values resonates with interviewers.
- Come with specific questions about Fairfield rather than generic ones , interviewers notice when a student has done real research on programs or campus life.
- If you can visit in person, the on-campus interview pairs well with a campus tour and signals demonstrated interest.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
