FSU / Interview
The FSU interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. FSU does not conduct admissions interviews for first-year applicants.
How to prepare for FSU
- Focus on your personal statement , FSU requires one 650-word essay and uses it heavily to understand who you are beyond your GPA and test scores.
- Demonstrate interest through campus visits, attending FSU information sessions, or engaging with admissions reps at college fairs, since there is no interview opportunity to show enthusiasm.
- Early Action (October 15 deadline) is strongly recommended for Florida residents , decisions come in December and give you time to compare options.
- Highlight specific FSU programs, research centers, or organizations in your essay if relevant , showing genuine knowledge of what FSU offers can strengthen your application.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
