Fordham / Interview
The Fordham interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered for standard undergraduate admissions; Theatre program requires auditions/interviews separately
How to prepare for Fordham
- Write the optional 300-word supplement , Fordham treats it as strongly recommended; use it to connect your goals to the Jesuit mission or NYC identity specifically.
- Visit campus or attend a virtual info session to demonstrate demonstrated interest, since there is no interview to signal enthusiasm directly to admissions.
- Lean on letters of recommendation to provide the personal dimension that an interview would otherwise supply , choose recommenders who can speak to your character and curiosity.
- For Theatre applicants only, a separate audition and interview process applies , contact the Theatre department directly for those requirements.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
