Furman / Interview
The Furman interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional alumni/staff interview, ~30-45 min, virtual; international applicants strongly encouraged to do an InitialView/Vericant interview; home-schooled students require a Zoom interview
How to prepare for Furman
- Submit your application before requesting an interview , Furman requires an application on file first.
- Use the interview to convey your specific reasons for choosing Furman, including its Engaged Learning requirement and signature undergraduate research culture.
- International applicants should complete the InitialView or Vericant interview to demonstrate English proficiency and stand out , it carries more weight for that applicant pool.
- Note that virtual meetings with staff are unavailable January 1-March 15, so schedule early if applying Regular Decision.
