Knox / Interview
The Knox interview
Interview recommended, and it carries moderate weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Interview recommended
Strongly recommended interview with an admissions counselor, ~30-45 min, available on-campus, by phone, or virtually
How to prepare for Knox
- Knox strongly recommends the interview and it factors into scholarship consideration , treat it as a real part of your application, not a formality.
- Your interviewer is an admissions counselor, not an alumnus , they know the school deeply, so come with specific questions about academics and campus life at Knox.
- Knox has no required supplement, so the interview is one of the few places you can speak directly to fit , use it to convey what drew you to a small liberal arts environment and to Galesburg specifically.
- Homeschooled applicants should note the interview is required for them, not just recommended , schedule early.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
