KU Leuven / Interview
The KU Leuven interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered for the vast majority of programmes; a small number of highly selective or arts-related programmes may require a portfolio review or brief programme-specific interview , check your individual programme page.
How to prepare for KU Leuven
- KU Leuven does not conduct general admissions interviews, so your motivation letter (max one A4 page) is the primary personal statement , treat it as your pitch and make every sentence specific to the programme.
- Demonstrate academic fit through your CV and transcript rather than personality; admissions here is credential-based, so grades and diploma equivalence carry the most weight.
- If your programme requires an OMPT/SOWISO math test or subject-specific prerequisite, prepare for that well in advance , it is more decisive than any interview would be.
- Show interest by attending KU Leuven open days or contacting the programme office directly with substantive questions; there is no alumni interview network to signal demonstrated interest through.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
