Leiden / Interview
The Leiden interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered for bachelor's admission; some numerus fixus programmes use online assessments or selection activities instead.
How to prepare for Leiden
- Put serious effort into the letter of motivation , for competitive numerus fixus programmes this is the primary written differentiator and must address why you want this specific programme at Leiden, not just the field in general.
- If your target programme uses an online selection assessment, practice under timed conditions in advance; these tests (e.g. for Psychology, Medicine-related tracks) are a hard filter with fixed cutoffs.
- Apply by 15 January for any numerus fixus (capped) programme , the deadline is absolute and late applications are not accepted regardless of qualifications.
- Non-EU/EEA applicants should apply well before 1 April to leave time for visa processing; strong academic records and English proficiency evidence (IELTS/TOEFL) need to be in order before that point.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
