Loughborough / Interview
The Loughborough interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered for the vast majority of undergraduate courses; some Sport and Design/Creative Arts programmes require a portfolio submission or audition instead.
How to prepare for Loughborough
- Focus on the three UCAS structured questions, which replace the traditional personal statement at Loughborough , each answer has a 350-character minimum, so be specific and purposeful in each response.
- Loughborough is sport- and engineering-focused; if applying to those areas, highlight relevant practical experience, achievements, or extracurriculars that align with their hands-on, industry-linked ethos.
- If applying to Sport Science, Design, or Creative Arts, prepare a strong portfolio or audition material as that is the closest equivalent to an interview at Loughborough.
- Visit campus or attend an open day , Loughborough places real value on demonstrable interest, and open days are the primary way to make a direct impression on the admissions team.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
