Northeastern / Interview
The Northeastern interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; Northeastern does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for Northeastern
- Demonstrate genuine interest in Northeastern's co-op program specifically , mention industries, employers, or co-op cycles that align with your goals, as this is central to their identity.
- Use your application essays and activities list to show self-direction and professional ambition; Northeastern values students who can articulate a concrete career vision, not just academic interests.
- Attend virtual information sessions or campus tours and register with your email , demonstrated interest is tracked and can matter at a school this selective.
- Since there is no interview to humanize your application, your 'Why Northeastern' framing in any optional writing must do that work , be specific about the D'Amore-McKim, Khoury, or Northeastern Dialogue of Civilizations programs if relevant.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
