Notre Dame / Interview
The Notre Dame interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Notre Dame does not include interviews in its admissions evaluation process.
How to prepare for Notre Dame
- Focus energy on Notre Dame's supplement: three short answers (50-100 words each) chosen from a menu of five prompts , these are your main chance to show personality and fit beyond the personal essay.
- Demonstrate genuine interest through campus visits or virtual programs; while attendance does not affect the admissions decision, engaging with Notre Dame's programming gives you concrete material to reference in your supplement.
- Notre Dame's Catholic mission and community identity matter to the committee , if that resonates with you authentically, let it come through in your writing rather than hoping to convey it in an interview.
- Use the optional 60-90 second Glimpse video (via InitialView) if you want to add a personal dimension the written application cannot capture , it is the closest substitute to a traditional interview.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
