Pitt / Interview
The Pitt interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered for undergraduate admissions.
How to prepare for Pitt
- Apply early in the fall to take advantage of Pitt's rolling admissions , decisions go out as applications are read, so earlier submission means earlier decisions and scholarship consideration.
- Submit by December 1 if you want to be considered for merit scholarships (Cathedral, Nordenberg, Chancellor's) or the Frederick Honors College, which also requires a personal statement.
- Since there is no interview, your personal statement and application essays carry more weight for honors and scholarship tracks , use them to convey genuine intellectual curiosity and fit.
- Visit campus or attend virtual information sessions to demonstrate interest; while Pitt does not formally track demonstrated interest, engaging with the school gives you context that can strengthen your essays.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
