Providence / Interview
The Providence interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional evaluative interview (~20-30 min) with admission staff, graduate assistants, or senior admission fellows; available on campus or virtually, with no preference between formats. A 60-90 second Glimpse video is offered as an alternative.
How to prepare for Providence
- Do your research before scheduling , PC explicitly discourages using the interview as a first introduction to the college; visit or explore the school thoroughly first.
- The interview is evaluative if you take it, so treat it seriously: it becomes part of your application review, even though not interviewing puts you at no disadvantage.
- If an interview feels too high-stakes, the Glimpse video (60-90 seconds) is treated as comparable , a good option if you want to add a personal dimension without a live conversation.
- Lean into PC's Dominican Catholic identity and its distinctive Western Civilization Development of Western Civilization (DWC) core curriculum , showing genuine familiarity with what makes the school unique carries weight.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
