How to prepare for Rutgers
- Rutgers does not offer admissions interviews, so your application materials , transcript, GPA, and personal statement , carry all the weight; invest your effort there.
- Demonstrate interest through campus visits or attending virtual information sessions, as Rutgers does track demonstrated interest for some programs.
- If applying to a competitive school within Rutgers (Engineering, Pharmacy, or Business), tailor your personal statement to that program specifically rather than writing a generic essay.
- Reach out to current students or departmental contacts to show genuine engagement with the university , this can come through in recommendations or optional supplements.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
