Skidmore / Interview
The Skidmore interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Skidmore discontinued admissions interviews as of Fall 2024.
How to prepare for Skidmore
- Attend virtual info sessions (most Tuesdays at 7 p.m.) or small-group student chats (select Thursdays at 7 p.m.) to demonstrate genuine interest and learn about the college.
- Reach out to your regional admissions counselor by email with thoughtful, specific questions , this signals interest and helps you tailor your application.
- Since there is no interview, your Common App personal statement does the heaviest lifting; Skidmore requires no supplemental essays, so make the essay count.
- Visit campus if possible , Skidmore tracks demonstrated interest, and an on-campus tour or info session visit is noted in your file.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
