The single most useful thing to know about UConn is what it does not ask. Mistakes that sink UConn essays

With one essay, the temptation is to list achievements. Resist it. The activities section already holds your accomplishments. The essay exists to show the thinking and character a list cannot.
Fewer essays can feel like less pressure, but it is the opposite. One essay means zero chances to recover. Draft early, revise hard, and read it aloud to catch the lines that sound like everyone else.
If you have a second prompt, let it carry the 'why this field' specifics. Keep your personal statement a wider human story so the two do not repeat each other.
