The Arkansas interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; admission is decided on academics and application materials alone.
How to prepare for Arkansas
- Visit campus or attend a virtual information session to demonstrate genuine interest, as U of A values demonstrated interest in some scholarship considerations.
- If applying for merit scholarships (e.g., Chancellor's Scholarship), focus your optional scholarship essay carefully , it is the closest equivalent to a personal statement and carries real weight.
- Reach out directly to your assigned admissions counselor by name; U of A counselors are regionally assigned and responsive, which can help clarify any application questions and show engagement.
- Strong GPA and class rigor matter most at U of A , if your GPA is above 3.20, lean into the test-optional policy and let your academic record speak for itself.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
