The Delaware interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered , admissions decisions are based entirely on the written application.
How to prepare for Delaware
- Demonstrate interest through campus visits, virtual information sessions, or attending UD-hosted events, as demonstrated interest can be a soft factor for a university of this size.
- The supplemental essays (required only for test-optional applicants) carry extra weight in your file , treat them as your main opportunity to speak directly to the admissions office.
- Apply Early Action by November 1 if you are interested in the Honors College, as that deadline is firm and the Honors College is a distinct, competitive program within UD.
- Research specific colleges and programs within UD (e.g., Alfred Lerner College of Business, College of Engineering) and reference them in your essays to signal focus and fit.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
