Mizzou / Interview
The Mizzou interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Mizzou is a large public university with rolling admissions and does not conduct admissions interviews.
How to prepare for Mizzou
- Apply early in the rolling cycle , decisions begin October 1, and earlier applicants have the widest scholarship competition window before the December 1 merit priority deadline.
- Demonstrate interest through campus visits, virtual information sessions, or attending Mizzou's recruiting events, since interviews are unavailable as a channel to show fit.
- Use the personal statement (250-650 words) to convey personality and specific reasons for choosing Mizzou's programs, compensating for the absence of an interview conversation.
- Contact your regional admissions counselor directly with any questions , building that relationship can signal genuine interest even without a formal interview process.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
