URI / Interview
The URI interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; URI does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for URI
- Apply Early Action or Early Decision by December 1 to maximize scholarship consideration , URI's Priority Scholarship deadline is December 1 and merit aid is awarded on a rolling basis.
- If applying to a specialized program (Nursing, PharmD, Honors, or Talent Development), write a focused supplemental essay for that program since it carries real weight in program-specific review.
- Visit campus or attend a URI information session to demonstrate interest; while URI does not track demonstrated interest as a formal factor, engagement with the school can inform your application materials.
- Use your Common App personal statement to show genuine fit with URI , highlight specific programs, research opportunities, or campus communities that align with your goals.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
