Vassar / Interview
The Vassar interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered , Vassar does not conduct admissions interviews of any kind.
How to prepare for Vassar
- With no interview available, your essays carry extra weight , Vassar's short 300-word prompt rewards precision and authentic voice over breadth, so edit ruthlessly.
- Use the optional 'Your Space' section strategically: it's a genuine creative opening, not a catch-all, so only use it if you have something meaningful and distinctive to add.
- Campus visits and virtual info sessions are open to all and signal interest , Vassar does track demonstrated interest, so engaging with their programming matters.
- If Vassar is a true first choice, applying Early Decision I or II is the clearest signal you can send since there is no interview through which to show enthusiasm.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
