Wellesley / Interview
The Wellesley interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Wellesley discontinued on- and off-campus alumni interviews in fall 2021.
How to prepare for Wellesley
- Attend a virtual or in-person information session or campus tour , Wellesley's admissions office tracks demonstrated interest through these touchpoints, so registering and showing up matters.
- Make your supplemental essay do the relational work that an interview would have done: show specific knowledge of Wellesley's culture, residential system, and academic offerings rather than generic praise.
- Connect with current students or alumnae through Wellesley's official events and panels , these conversations can sharpen what you say in your essays about fit, even though no formal interview report is submitted.
- If you have a meaningful update after submitting (award, leadership role, grade change), send a brief letter of continued interest to the admissions office , this is the clearest remaining channel to add new information to your file.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
