Williams / Interview
The Williams interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered. Williams does not conduct alumni or admissions interviews as part of the application process.
How to prepare for Williams
- Visit campus or attend a virtual info session to learn about Williams and demonstrate genuine interest , though Williams does not track demonstrated interest, these experiences will sharpen your essays.
- Williams places heavy weight on essays and the optional 3-5 page academic paper submission; invest your energy there rather than seeking interview opportunities.
- Connect with current students through Williams' student ambassador program to get authentic insight into the community, which can inform more compelling application writing.
- Since there is no interview to humanize your application, make sure your Common App essay and any optional writing reveal your intellectual curiosity and fit with Williams' tutorials and small seminar culture.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
