Wofford / Interview
The Wofford interview
Optional interview, and it carries minor weight in the decision. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
Optional interview
Optional on-campus interview with an admissions counselor, ~30-45 min, scheduled on weekdays or select Saturdays during the school year. No alumni interview network. Wofford Scholars finalists complete a separate required group interview with faculty.
How to prepare for Wofford
- If you visit campus, schedule an admissions interview , Wofford is a small school where demonstrated interest and personal connection carry real weight.
- The interview is conversational and low-pressure; come prepared to discuss why Wofford specifically appeals to you, including its study-abroad programs and liberal arts focus.
- Do not confuse the general admissions interview with the Wofford Scholars group interview , the latter is a competitive, faculty-led process for merit scholarship finalists and requires separate preparation.
- If you cannot visit in person, a campus tour and info session still signal interest; reach out to your regional admissions counselor as an alternative way to make a personal connection.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
