Yonsei / Interview
The Yonsei interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; admission is based entirely on written application, personal statement, and document review.
How to prepare for Yonsei
- Put serious effort into the three Personal Statement sections (Motivation ~180 words, Personal Development ~600 words, Korean Culture ~300 words) , these written components are the only place to show your personality and fit.
- The Korean Culture section is distinctive to Yonsei: demonstrate genuine knowledge of or engagement with Korean culture, not surface-level interest.
- Ensure all supporting documents (transcripts, language proficiency proof, nationality documents) arrive by the hard April deadline , missing paperwork is a common reason for disqualification.
- If applying to Underwood International College (UIC) or via Common App, note that those tracks have separate timelines and requirements; do not conflate them with the main International Student Track.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
