The Florida interview
No admissions interview. Here is how it works and how to prepare.
No admissions interview
No interviews offered; UF does not conduct admissions interviews for undergraduate applicants.
How to prepare for Florida
- UF's single required essay (100-250 words) carries significant weight , use it to show genuine character and judgment, not just a resume recap.
- Demonstrate interest through campus visits, attending information sessions, or engaging with UF's admissions events, since there is no interview to signal enthusiasm.
- If you apply via Common App or UF's own application, the optional supplemental essays are a real opportunity , answer them thoughtfully rather than leaving them blank.
- UF reviews holistically, so strong extracurricular depth and upward grade trends can offset a mid-range test score.
Practice before the real thing
Rehearse real admissions-interview questions and get an honest read on your answers, what an interviewer hears, where you sound generic, and what to sharpen. We coach you; we never script you.
